In 1945 Darlene DeMatteo and Jerry the Spaniard is forced to pay money to the Corleones. After Hours was a nightclub in Hell's Kitchen, owned by Darlene DeMatteo.

Popular due to his closeness in proximity to Madison Square Gardens, the club was under the 'protection' of the Irish Jerry the Spaniard and the Cuneo crime family, who ran a high-rent brothel in the backrooms.

Immensely popular with the decadent upper classes of New York, and their indiscretions were photographed and used by the Cuneo Family as a blackmail ring. Darlene was a former talented hostess who ran her business with ruthless ferocity.

In the later stages of the Five Families War, the business became property of Aldo Trapani.
