The Almeida Compound was the stronghold of Don Esteban Almeida and the base of the Almeida crime family in Havana, Cuba. It has a large, castle-like appearance that made it virtually unassailable. However, in 1959, during the Trapani - Almeida War, the compound was attacked by Dominic and some of his made men, who sought revenge for Almeida's attacks on their family. Don Almeida was murdered in his office and the compound was bombed, only to be taken over by the Corleones upon it's reconstruction.
