Amerigo Tot was a Hungarian-Italian sculptor and actor.
He was born in Hungary and moved to Rome when the Nazis took power. He became a sculptor and later advisor to the Roman Hungarian Academy, before fighting in the Italian resistance.
In the fifties, he became increasingly prolific in his sculpting work, and over the next two decades complemented this with film appearances in The Most Beautiful Bride, Pulp and The Godfather Part II. Tot died in 1984 at the age of 75.
The Amerigo Tot Museum in Pécs was named after him.
