Andrew Hagen was the eldest son of Tom and Theresa Hagen. He was portrayed by John Savage.

Born in 1942, Andrew Hagen grew up in New York and was present at the wedding of his aunt Connie to Carlo Rizzi. From a young age, he was deeply introspective, yet also a keen player of sports, later playing on the school team at Notre Dame.
He was ordained as a priest shortly after his father's death in 1964, and studied under Bishop Breelan. He was transferred to The Vatican as a favour to Michael Corleone from Archbishop Gilday.
