-Calo to Don Lucchesi

[edit] Biography

When Michael Corleone fled to Corleone to escape the American authorities, Calo and his friend Fabrizio were assigned to protect Michael. The three developed a close bond of friendship until Fabrizio betrayed Michael, attempting to kill him in an explosion that claimed the life of Michael's wife Apollonia. Calo continued to serve Tommasino loyally through this time.

Calo in 1980.

In 1979, when an old Michael returned to Sicily, Calo and he were reunited, with Calo serving Michael after the death of Tommasino at the hands of assassin Mosca de Montelepre. Calo sacrificed his life for his former friend by murdering Don Lucchesi with his own spectacles, Don Lucchesi's bodyguard immediately pulled out a pistol and shot him (in The Novel he was killed in the same car bomb that killed Apollonia) .
