Born in The Bronx in 1931, Dominic Chianese began his working life as a bricklayer, while attending a night school which gave him a degree in speech and theatre. His first foray into acting was as a memeber of the American Savoyards in 1952.
Chianese's first on-screen acting role occured after he was recommended by George C. Scott to appear in West Side/East Side and later became known for playing Johnny Ola in The Godfather: Part II.
Continuing to appear in films throughout the years as well as often recoridng music, Chianese is perhaps best known for playing Junior in the hit mob series The Sopranos.
