Barbara Sukowa is a German film and theatre actress. Beginning her stage debut in 1971, she made numerous appearences in Shakesperian productions as well as Ibsen's The Master Builder.
Subsequently she made numerous appearences in German language films, as well as the English-language The Sicilian, and was both a winner and judge of several film awards.
