Toben Greenwood was the manager of The Peak hotel.
Biography[]
A native of Brooklyn, Greenwood made his fortune playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers, where he was one of their most promising rookies. With this fortune he bought the Peak, which eventually became the most expensive hotel in Midtown.
However, Greenwood's luck changed when he developed huge gambling debts and fell under the hand of Moe Greene. An agreement was made with Raphael Rulandi of the Barzini family, who bailed Greenwood out in return for majority control over the hotel. Greene built an enormous underground casino beneath the hotel and agreed to call off the debt.
Greenwood's fortunes looked up in 1955 when Aldo Trapani took over the hotel from Rulandi and shot Greene through the eye.
