A Sicilian born character actor residing in the United States, Sivero was born Francesco LoGiudice in Agrigento, Sicily. After achieving success in The Godfather Part II as Genco Abbandando, he appeared in numerous hits, including Goodfellas, The Wedding Singer and The Aviator.

Frank Sivero also had a cameo role as a bystander in the The Godfather during the scene in which Sonny beat up Carlo. Along with Carmine Caridi this makes him one of only two actors to play two roles in the saga.
