Fred Corngold was one the representatives of the United Telephone and Telegraph Company from the United States in Cuba in the 1950s.

Fred Corngold and his colleague Dant were present at the business meeting with Fulgencio Batista in Havana in late 1958 and he later joined Michael Corleone to celebrate the new year. He was also present at Batista New Year's Eve party and immediately fled the country when Batista declared his resignation after the defeat of his army by the rebel forces of Fidel Castro.
