Gore Vidal was an American writer, best known for his essays.


Born Eugene Luther Gore Vidal in New York. His first contribution to the literary world was Williwaw in 1946, following this he became a proficient author of plays, novels and screenplays including Myra Breckinridge, one of his most popular works, and The Sicilian, which he worked on the screenplay for, uncredited.

He died in 2012, aged 86.
