- "Okay, give it here. But this arrangement better be worth it."
- ―Gregor Reisdorfiev[src]
A immigrant from the tundras of Russia (hence his nickname), Gregor Reisdorfiev set up trade as a legitimate jeweller before joining the Barzini family for better profits. The family sent him to Brooklyn, where he forced his way into Liberto's, a bakery owned by Lofty the Loaf. Lofty gave into Reisdorfiev after pressure, allowing him to run a diamond operation from the bakery's basement.
In 1947, Reisdorfiev was eventually brought down by Aldo Trapani, who bought him out and took over the racket.
