Queicon There are two conflicting canon sources for this article, from The Godfather Returns and The Family Corleone.

Henry Hagen was the father of Tom Hagen.[2]

Biography[]

The son of the German immigrant Dieter Hagan and his Irish wife Cara Gallagher, Henry Hagen came to New York City in search of work, but he became an alcoholic and eventually abandoned his two children, Tom Hagen and a daughter, following his wife's death.[1]

He was discovered eventually by Vito Corleone, who had him murdered by Peter Clemenza and Salvatore Tessio for unknown reasons, likely related to unpaid gambling debts. Tom never found out the true cause of his father's death.[1]
