A hotel in Little Italy owned by the powerful west coast Alioto clan, the Hotel Alioto was also co-owned by the Stracci family and known as a good spot for peaceful negotiation meetings. It's offical proprietor was Franklin Alioto and the upstairs gambling racket was run by Emilio Alioto. An apartment could be bought here for $40,000.
In 1946, the Corleone family took over the hotel, completing their control of Little Italy. In 1955, Aldo Trapani became Don of New York here, attended by his strongest lieutenants.
