"Please. Our group represents a consortium of Catholic businessmen, against the Corleone control."
―Lucio Vanni[src]

Lucio Vanni was a banker and shareholder in international Immobiliare.

Biography[]

Vanni was part of a consortium of Catholic businessmen, against the Corleone control, along with Giorgio Lupo, Frederick Keinszig and Licio Lucchesi. However, he was not crooked, unlike Keinszig and Lucchesi and so was spared in 1980.

Personality and traits[]

A less crooked figure than his counterparts, Vanni was the one who tried to politely explain to Michael Corleone and B.J. Harrison the situation concerning their investment in Immobiliare.

Behind the scenes[]

  • He was portrayed by Dado Ruspoli.
  • In earlier drafts of the script, Vanni had a much larger role, sharing the role that later became Keinszig with Lupo. He was murdered by his chauffeur in revenge for the killing of Michael Corleone.
