Maria Grazia Morgana Messina (June 4, 1930 – March 22, 2018), known professionally as Morgana King, was an American actress and singer. She played Carmela Corleone, the wife of Don Vito Corleone.

Biography[]

Born in Pleasantville, New York, in 1930, Morgana King was of Sicilian and Portuguese descent. Before playing Carmela Corleone in The Godfather, she was known as a jazz singer. She showed off her singing during Connie's wedding in The Godfather.

She appeared in five feature films, including The Godfather and The Godfather Part II and also appeared in the TV movie Deadly Intentions.

She passed away on March 22, 2018.[1]
