A regime is the part of a crime family that is run by a caporegime. There are multiple regimes in a family, with each regime running their own territory but ultimately answering to their Dons. In times of conflict between families it would be the caporegimes and their regimes that the Don would call upon to carry out the fighting and go to the matresses.
