The daughter of Francis Ford Coppola and Eleanor Coppola, Sofia made her first film appearence in The Godfather: Part I as the infant Michael Rizzi.
She also appeared in The Outsiders and Frankenweenie. After receiving heavy criticism for playing Mary Corleone in The Godfather: Part III, Sofia became better known as a director, winning the Academy Award for Best Director for Lost in Translation.
