Born in New York in 1946, Talia Shire is the sister of Francis Ford Coppola, who directed The Godfather.
After she played Connie Corleone in The Godfather: Part I, Shire became famous for playing Rocky Balboa's girlfriend in the Rocky series. She was nominated for two Academy Awards, one for Rocky and a Best Supporting Actress Award for The Godfather: Part II.
She continues to act to this day.
