Behind the scenesEdit

Much of the first film was filmed around Taormina rather than to film in the actual village of Corleone which was notorious for its high crime rate and was deemed unsuitable as a filming location. In the the third film, the railway station of Bagheria was in reality the railway station of Taormina.
