Turiddu is the protagonist of Cavalleria rusticana.
Biography[]
A Sicilian peasant, his fiancee Lola marries local teamster Alfio whilst he is away on military service. In revenge, Turridu begins an affair with Lola and local woman Santuzza.
Eventually, Alfio and Turridu's rivalry erupts into a bitter duel which results in Turridu's offstage death.
