In 1945 Vinnie Vivaldi and Dino Stracci is forced to pay money to the Corleones.A night club on the east side of New Jersey, Velveteen's was run by easy going entrepreneur Vinnie Vivaldi and it's relative unimportance made it the ideal location to place a front for Dino Stracci in order to placate him without causing trouble for the Stracci family.
However, this did mean that it was easily taken over by Aldo Trapani during the Corleone family's move on Jersey in 1945.
