Vernon Rougatis was the brother-in-law of Detective Robert Dantzler.
Biography[]
A native of New York City who was also a troubled veteran with untreated PTSD, Rougatis became instrumental in a plot to humiliate Tom Hagen by taking pictures of him with his mistress, one Judy Buchanan, along with his sister's husband, Robert Dantzler. However, upon trying to place incriminating evidence in Buchanan's home, a firefight ensued and Buchanan was accidentally killed, forcing Rougatis and Dantzler to leave town. Hagen was later framed for her murder. Dantzler and Rougatis were later both murdered to cover up the plot.
